Common desiccator-cabinet issues and remedies

Q1: Humidity inside the desiccator cabinet is too low - what to do?

A: To switch from low to high humidity, simply open the door for a while and close it once the humidity inside has risen.

Q2: Odour on first use of the desiccator cabinet?

A: A slight odour when the dry cabinet is first used is normal. During transport the molecular sieve absorbs vehicle exhaust and other gases; the odour disappears by itself after a period of use.

Q3: Does the desiccator cabinet core get hot?

A: While the dry cabinet is exhausting moisture, the surface of the dehumidifier module inside warms up; this lasts about half an hour before it returns to normal temperature.

Q4: Does a full cabinet affect humidity?

A: If the cabinet holds many items or items with high moisture content, the humidity inside rises temporarily and falls more slowly. When loading, do not place items right against the dehumidifier module, and make sure small objects do not block the exhaust holes, leaving the module enough room to work.
